Runes Review!

Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father's disappearance, her mother's erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James*a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.

Raine is drawn to Torin*s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can*t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she*s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.
Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about Torin. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only are she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life.

Review
Oh My Goodness!  This book was fabulous.  When I first started reading it, I was sucked right into the story of Raine, Cora, Torin and Eirik.  I loved the relationship that was going on between Eirik and Raine.  His love for photography, his love for Raine, his ability to be so sweet and caring was just so what I want any boy to be like.  Then we have Cora, what a sweet and vibrant young girl she is.  She reminded me so much of my daughters, just that tad bit of naughty with an overwhelming niceness.  And Toran was such a card, he is so much like my husband I had to laugh.  I love books where I can picture my family members as characters.  And when the characters do what I know my family would do its even better.  As for the main character Raine, she is such a wonderful character and you could not only feel for her but also put yourself in her place.  That is a true talent for a writer.

Ednah Walters has created a fabulous world.  A world where runes are magical and can do many wonderful and scary things.  When I started to read this book there were so many questions I had, who was Torin, where were his family, what is up with Eirik and where are his missing parents, so many questions that get answered slowly as you read this book.

All in all I give this book 5 stupendous stars for the creative nature and for the fact that the author created characters which to me where so very lifelike.  I cannot tell you how very much I loved this story.  And I must say that the ending will leave you screaming for book 2.  And I for one hope that Endah Walters gets that book out soon and into MY hands. I am so not known for my patience.  *hint hint*
