Charlotte Blake. Cut throat business woman and a powerhouse professional. Her interpersonal skills could use some work but her career comes first.

Everything she has, she has worked for.

Luke ‘Dex’ Dexter. Her adversary at work with the face of an angel and the charm of the devil. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he’s everything that Charlotte resents.

Everything he has, has been handed to him.

He’s a self-entitled arrogant playboy. She’s an uptight work-focused bore.

Two opposing colleagues forced together in small-town America through decisions beyond their control. Charlotte and Dex must find a way to make it work and close the deal a thousand miles from home.

Charlotte can’t remember how it feels to be young and carefree and Dex doesn’t know what it means to be an adult.

When the sworn enemies unwittingly find themselves becoming a finely tuned team, neither of them are prepared for the outcome.

Early Feedback

The characters are written with so much complexity that I feel like I know them in and out. Some books have difficult backgrounds thrown in for good measure, but their backgrounds were pivotal in the story line. ~ Laura Barnard Author

This is the first book I have read by Hayley Oakes, it will definitely not be the last. You can’t help but fall in love with her characters from the off. They are both well written and you get drawn to them, you can feel the emotional battles they have as if they were happening in front of you. ~ Goodreads Reviews

About The Author

 photo Author Image_zpswlywuwoe.jpg

I have been writing stories from a very young age. My very first tool, at the age of ten, was an electric typewriter that my Dad saved from being thrown away at work. I tapped away on that for hours and hours.
I have always told stories and written stories and my favourite ones are the ones that people have told me. I collect peoples’ lives in my head, storing the most interesting and wacky anecdotes that I utilise without even realising.
I also collect mannerisms and when I’m with someone for long periods of time I start copying their facial expressions and habits. It’s a curse but I am a natural mimic.
I love life and love making people laugh.

Bittersweet Trailer Reveal!!!!!

Bittersweet
The Kaveesh # 1
By- Tyffani Clark Kemp
Genre- Mature YA Sci Fi/Romance
Expected Publication Date- October 15th

She'd reconciled her life without him. His return would be Bittersweet.

Welcome to Mother Cora’s, where the offspring of the Kaveesh learn to coexist with humans.

One hundred and twenty years ago, the Kaveesh came to Earth to save the dying planet from a disease that gorged itself on anything in its wake. Buildings crumbled to dust. Soil and plant life were consumed. Two-thirds of the Earth’s population perished

The only thing the Kaveesh asked in return was to help save their dying race. Breeding programs began and the half-breeds were born.

Lirabel is a half-breed and an overachiever. Despite a few setbacks, she’s scheduled to graduate early from Mother Cora’s and become the Half-breed Ambassador to the Humans.

Enter Jonas. They were best friends until he broke her heart and disappeared five years ago. Now, he’s back, but Lirabel couldn’t care less. There are more important things to worry about…

Like finishing her last year of school and becoming ambassador. Or the half-bred students losing control of their Kaveesh strengths who are being sent into quarantine. Or how the breeding programs are still up and running.

And somehow, Jonas’ bittersweet return is connected to it all.

Exchanged at birth, Shifty and Evangeline—one human, one sheehaim—have been raised in the opposite’s realm. Thus the stage is set for a dark and ancient ritual which would give the wraiths of the Shadow Realm a power they have long been denied, and for good reason.
In our modern day world, Shifty’s magic is becoming more powerful and her glamour is beginning to fade. She believes she’s having visions and seeks out psychiatric help. But when the people closest to her finally reveal the truth of her ancestry, she also learns that she’s in danger and must learn to protect herself. She must decide: are her lifelong friends truly looking out for her, or are they in league with the creatures from her birth realm, set to groom her for her return?
Evangeline has always known she was a human in a realm of fae. She is the daughter of one of the realm’s most powerful family, and has been promised in marriage to a well-positioned young man. When she begins to suspect there may be nefarious motives for her match, she recruits her friends to help her solve the mystery before the wedding. She must decide: is their loyalty to her, or the realm?
