Gravely Inanimated Tour and Review

Title: Gravely Inanimated
Author: Esther Wheelmaker
Genre: Steampunk YA, Romance Adventure
Tour Host: Lady Amber's Tours

~Summary~
It has been thirty years since England was plagued by zombies. Humans fear for their lives while the dead kill the living.
By the cover of night, a man known only as Aeron hunts these creatures. On one foggy evening he finds Lucille Knight's life in jeopardy and Aeron's interest is instantly peaked when he saves the young lady.
But Aeron will have competition when Lucy meets Lord Garrett Ashdown, son of the Inventor, Earl Thomas.

Lucy is drawn to the masked man and equally mysterious Lord. With one concealing his true identity and the other hiding a ghastly secret, she does not know which one is less dangerous.
Will she be able to be with the man she chooses when she learns the awful truth?

~Review~

This is a totally new twist on Zombie Apocalypse's. This book is set in Victorian England. But NOT like the England we know from our history lessons. In this book Lucile Knight is a young woman born into a world where zombies own the night. Queen Victoria's army's do their best to keep the zombies at bay, but the rumor is that an evil voodoo queen caused all the zombies to be on earth.

We grow along side Lucy as she stops being a young girl of privilege who was spurned in love (this is an understatement, and I literally wanted to beat that young man with his own arms) and becomes a zombie hunter.

I have to say that Character creation is VERY strong in this book. I felt such pity for Lucy when she began this story and I loved how her personality is so vibrant and full of life. Even after all the horrible things that have happened in her life. And what can I say about Lucy's best friend Emily except that everyone deserves a friend as loyal as her.

I congratulate Esther Wheelmaker, who did a wonderful job on this zombie novel. And combining that horror aspect with steampunk was a first for me. And I truly loved it!

Two thumbs up for this novel. I give it 5 stars, and I will recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good zombie novel with a bit of a twist to it.

Details/Disclaimer: Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Her name is Esther Wheelmaker and she is the author of the new, Zombiepunk Series.

With Gravely Inanimated (book one) coming to life, she is pounding away on her typewriter to try and get book two out. However, she is easily distracted by sparkly things.
Her background is a mystery and all anyone knows is she loves hugs, corsets, steampunk, books and Mozart….
…Let's face it…Everyone likes a girl with a little mystery.
